COURTESY VISIT TO DEWAN BANDARAYA KOTA KINABALU BY KAWASAN RUKUN TETANGGA LUYANG & JAWATANKUASA TABIKA PERPADUAN LUYANG
Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Luyang (KRT Luyang) & Jawatankuasa Tabika Perpaduan Luyang (JTPL), led by KRT Luyang chairman, Mr Benny Quek, had made a courtesy visit to Jabatan Landskap, Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) at its office in Centre Point recently. Other representatives from KRT Luyang were Wong Kong Yew, Syau Choon Yin & Tan Suk Piau; whereas those representing JTPL were its deputy chairperson Chia Miu Lee & Ho Kui Ping.
The purpose of the visit was to brief DBKK officials on the activities and latest development of KRT Luyang and JTPL.
During the visit, requests had been put forward to DBKK to provide flower plants to be planted at the surrounding compound at Tabika Perpaduan Luyang (Tabika), a kindergarten under the umbrella of Jabatan Perpaduan Negara and Integrasi Nasional (JPNIN) with the co-ordination by KRT Luyang. The request was made with the aim to beautify the surroundings and acts as a learning chapter for the Tabika children to enrich their knowledge about nature and plants.
The entourage requested the officials of DBKK to make a site inspection on the deliberated surroundings which is now barren with plants.
Seeking DBKK’s assistance to destroy a bee hive found at one of the trees in front of the Tabika was another request. The bee hive forms a threat to the Tabika children and those who frequented the playground.
After the discussion, the official, Puan Stella Alexeius Nain, who represented the Pengarah of Jabatan Landskap, Encil Walter Kenson, who was on other duties, agreed to make a site inspection for familiarization to Pusat Komuniti Rukun Tetangga Luyang which housed the Tabika and to help solve the other issues raised.
To this Mr Benny Quek expressed thanks to DBKK having its concern to look into the requests and issues raised during the visit for the benefit of the residents in the region, and an encouragement to the 2 committees in providing and contributing voluntarily on the community services.

礼貌拜会亚庇市政厅并请求协助
路阳区睦邻计划委员会(睦邻)及路阳国民团结幼儿园委员会经在日前在睦邻主席郭义海率领下礼貌拜会了位于太平洋商业中心七楼的亜庇市政厅城市美化部门组。
由於亜庇市政厅城市美化部门组的总监WALTER KENSON 有要事不克出席会谈，而改由其部门官员 STELLA ALEXEIUS NAIN 接见。
郭主席首先介绍了当日有出席的部份路阳区睦邻计划委员会代表们,即是黄光耀，萧俊仁及陈树標。而代表路阳国民团结幼儿园委员会即有副主席谢妙妮及何贵平。接着郭主席向有关部门官员汇报了有关该睦邻计划委员会的计划及业务进展。
与此同时，两委员会也向亜庇市政厅表达了数项地方上的改善建议及要求，包括向该部门申请花草以便种植在路阳区睦邻计划委员会管辖下的路阳区国民团结幼儿园週边的土地上。该幼儿园週边还只是草地一片，並没有裁种任何花草树木。为了美化及让幼儿们对花草有进一步认识，两委员会决定向市政厅要求一些植物以便裁种；並邀请官员亲临校园实地观察一番。
另在该幼儿园前面大树上筑有一个蜜蜂窝，对幼儿园及附近游乐场上嬉戏的小朋友構成威胁。
聆听了这些事项陈述，市政厅官员同意稍后到该幼稚园，也是位于路阳区睦邻计划活动中心及附近视察；并尽量协助解决所提出的问题。 对此，郭主席代表两委员会感谢市政厅的关注与协助。

KAWASAN RUKUN TETANGGA LUYANG AND JAWATANKUASA TABIKA PERPADUAN LUYANG GRATEFUL TO SITE INSPECTION BY DBKK
Following the courtesy visit and discussion by Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Luyang (KRT Luyang) and Jawatankuasa Tabika Perpaduan Luyang recently to Jabatan Landskap, Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) on several issues which include requesting flower plants to beautify the compound of Tabika Perpaduan Luyang (Tabika) situated at Pusat Komuniti Rukun Tetangga Luyang, Taman Jindo, the latter had agreed to make a site inspection for familiarization on the issues discussed.
The official from DBKK, Puan Stella Alexeius Nain walked the talk by personally conducting the site inspection to the compound of the Tabika with her stuff. Their arrival had been well-received by the members of the 2 organizations.
The official had agreed to assist to plant some flower plants on the barren compound of the Tabika to beautify the surroundings and provide a learning lesson for the Tabika children on the nature and plants.
At the same time, inspection had also been carried out on the playground facilities/equipments next to the Tabika.
It was found that a number of playground facilities/equipments are not in good condition, such as spoiled see-saws, the footings of the swings are worn out, the cement pavement on top of a drain is damaged etc.
The damaged / spoiled equipments pose a danger to the children who frequented the playground and therefore need to be repaired. As such, Mr Benny Quek requested DBKK to assist in taking action to repair the affected items.
DBKK’s official agreed to assist in solving the problems to create a safer environment for the children and residents in the region.

接待亜庇市政厅官员蒞临巡视
随着近日路阳区睦邻计划委员会(睦邻)及路阳国民团结幼儿园委员会在睦邻主席郭义海率领下拜会亜庇市政厅美化部门组后，后者曾答应亲自蒞临由睦邻所管辖下位于路阳睦邻活动中心的路阳国民团结幼儿园校园一带巡视观察。
亜庇市政厅美化部门组坐言起正，即刻展开巡视行动。该部门官员PUAN STELLA ALEXEIUS NAIN 在其部门职员的陪同下亲临上述幼儿园校园，即受到该2团体的成员们迎接。
一行人陪同亜庇市政厅官员们作了一番详细的校园巡视。后者答应尽量供应及协助种植花草树木予该幼儿园校园，以美化校园及让幼儿们对植物产生兴趣及有更深一层认识。
与此同时，一人行也巡视了该游乐场地。一番视察下发现该游乐场所内的基本施设已破坏了而需要修补，包括‘秋千的架脚已经腐蚀，损坏的跷跷板，石屎行人桥遭破坏等等。
上述遭破坏的基本施设对儿童構成威胁。有鉴於此，郭主席请求亜庇市政厅官员协助採取行动，以免儿童们遭殃。
亜庇市政厅官员一一记录在簿，並答应尽快协助採取维修行动，以让儿童们能在一个更安全的环境下嬉戏玩乐。
郭主席对於市政厅的关注与乐意协助给予赞赏, 2团体成员们也都对此感激万分。
在场除了郭主席外，尚有路阳国民团结幼儿园委员会主席林明财，副主席谢妙妮，何贵平及路阳区睦邻计划委员会成员黄光耀等。
